We firmly believe in the sacredness of all human life from conception to natural death. We wholeheartedly work to assist our parish in promoting respect life activities and to nurture a respect for the sanctity of life in our community according to the teaching of our Catholic faith.

Our Respect Life Prayer
Dear Lord, look graciously upon us in this troubled and sinful world. Embrace us all in your loving protection. Protect our young from Godless ways; assist our dear ones grown old with age to prepare for their journey home; shield our defenseless unborn from the horrors of abortion; heal our sick and comfort us in our suffering; and be our strength against all sin. Spare us from all hatred, discrimination and war. Fill our hearts, our homes, and our world with that peace which comes only from You. Be our comfort and strength, dear Lord. Amen.

The Catholic Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life activities states:
We hold in high esteem all who proclaim and serve the Gospel of life. Through their peaceful activism, education, prayer and service, they witness to God's truth and embody our Lord's command to love one another as he loves us.
From the Respect Life Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago:
...Since human life is a gift from God and each is precious in His sight, we, too, must recognize that human life is worthy of our respect.
We naturally respect and want to protect helpless unborn infants, people who are disabled or elderly, and the victims of crime, abuse, poverty, and war. But keep in mind that we're also speaking of respect for distressed pregnant women, the exhausted family of the elderly, those who care for the disabled or those who don't know how to relate to them, for prisoners, the uneducated and the misguided. Our attitudes, therefore, must be those of total reverence for life, for all people. Those attitudes have two components, love and prayer.
An attitude filled with love comes from God, who created all of us in His image, regardless of any imperfection we may have. So when we see Christ in someone, we are drawn to love him or her. A smile, a kind word, an effort to listen and understand are signs of a loving attitude. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving."
A prayerful attitude helps us to see pro-life work as God's work and to see ourselves as His instruments. We need to tell God of our hopes, fears and frustrations, and our joys and satisfaction. Ask Him for a pure heart, for wisdom, courage and perseverance. Pray for the unborn and for all those whose dignity is denied. Pray for those who turn away from God's work, that they may respond to His love. Thank Him daily, and listen carefully for His guidance. God often speaks to us through others: our children, our spouse, our pastor, other parishioners, and especially through those to whom we are reaching out.
