Celebrating the Sacraments
| Baptism |
Baptisms are performed the second and fourth Sundays at 1:00 pm. If this is your first child, or at least five years since your last child was baptized, you must attend a Parent Baptismal Preparation Session, which is the first Friday of the month. Please call the Parish Office to schedule the Baptism, and, if necessary, to attend a Baptismal Preparation Session. |
| First Reconciliation / First Communion |
The sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated by second graders in the Winter, and Holy Communion is received by second graders in the Spring. A two-year preparation is required. Parents are expected to attend sacramental meetings to help prepare their child for these sacraments. |
| Confirmation |
The sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated by the eighth graders in the Spring. A two-year preparation period is required. Parents are expected to attend a sacramental meeting. Adults seeking Confirmation should participate in the RCIA program. |
| Matrimony |
Couples should refrain from setting a firm wedding date until they have met with a Priest or Deacon to complete their plans. This should be done at least four months before the wedding ( much sooner if either has been previously married). The requirements for marriage in the Church will be discussed during the initial interview.View the Wedding Booklet. |
| Anointing of the Sick |
There is a Parish Communal Anointing of the Sick in the Fall and Spring. At these times, shut-ins, the physically impaired, the elderly, and the chronically ill may be anointed. If a member of your family needs to be anointed at other times, please contact the Parish Office. |
