ZAX Youth Group

The Youth Group would like to thank the many people that brought in coats for our coat drive.  Over the weekned of Oct 25/26, we collected over 60 coats/jackets! 

On November 2nd, the Youth Group went out in the neighborhood and went door-to-door collecting food to donate to the Des Plaines Self Help Pantry.  We were able to collect 250 items!  Well done!!

St. Zachary's would like to welcome all teens in 8th through 12th grade to join the youth group!!  The youth group currently has about 15 kids in it, and we are always looking for new faces to join. 

The youth group is all about living the Christian lifestyle.  We having social meetings about 3 times a month when we get together to hang out, have group discussions, and play games/sports.  We have done service projects such as a coat drive and a canned food drive (this is a great opportunity for service hours towards Confirmation and/or school requirements!)  Over the summer, we went to Mt View and played a round of mini golf.  We hope to do more activities like that soon (including the panned ski trip in February!)

Dec 7th: meeting at Ministry Center
Dec 14th: CHICAGO!!  The youth group will be taking the train to the City to see the Christmas tree and lights.  More info to come!
