2023-2024 Religious Education Program Registration

Registration for the 2023-2024 REP year is now live! Scroll down to register.

Classes for the 2023-2024 school year will be offered as follows:

Option 1: In-Person, Wednesdays for Grades 1-8, 5 pm – 6:15 pm
Option 2: In-Person, Sundays for Grades 1-8, 10 am – 11:15 am

NOTE: Classes will be capped at 14 students. If there is low enrollment for any grade level, we may consider combining classes.

Students and their families are invited to attend weekly Mass. Celebrating the Eucharist strengthens our bonds with each other and God and, in turn, increases the unity and effectiveness of our Parish. Once a month, the RE program will host a Family Mass at the 9 am Mass. Also, during the 9 am Mass, Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLW) is offered for young children.

If you were on a payment plan or received financial assistance last year, this is not automatically set up for next year. You must contact the office to re-apply.

WANTED! Catechists, Leaders, & Volunteers

Adults, Young Adults, Teen Catechists, and Leaders are always needed in all areas of the Religious Education Program.

Religious education plays a critical role in young people’s spiritual growth and development. By becoming a catechist or volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and youth in your community. You can help them develop a deeper understanding of their faith, build character, and provide a strong moral foundation that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Becoming a catechist or volunteer allows you to grow in your faith. Teaching others about your beliefs and values can help you gain a deeper understanding of your spirituality. It can also provide you with a sense of purpose and fulfillment as you work to share your faith with others.

We understand that many may be hesitant to volunteer because they are not confident in their teaching ability or lack knowledge. We assure you that we will provide adequate training and support to help you succeed. We offer training sessions on effective teaching techniques and provide resources like lesson plans, activity ideas, discussion questions, service projects, and service opportunities. The REP department is here to support you every step of the way. Please contact us if you are interested, and we will find a spot for you!

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email Marta Robak at mrobak@saintzachary.org or Angela Geraci at ageraci@saintzachary.org or call 847-956-1175.
